I don't know for sure, but I think the average cost for a candy bar was around 5 cents.
5 cents
Well, honey, there's no candy bar with the word "six" in it, but there is one with the word "5." It's called "Take 5," but I guess they couldn't come up with anything clever for the number 6. Maybe they were too busy counting their profits to be creative.
Candy on average was 1cent to 50cents while a can of coke was about 15cents and a hershey bar was probably a nickel or dime
In 1914, the price of a candy bar was typically around 5 to 10 cents. This cost reflected the economic conditions of the time, as well as the materials used in candy production. For example, popular brands like Hershey's sold their bars for about 5 cents. Prices varied depending on the type and size of the candy bar.
Just a good wrapper is about 3 bucks. With the bar about 5.
Assuming that you are not concerned about the candy bar melting (as they all will), then your next concern will be to find something that has some protein and substance to it. A good one for this is the snickers bar because it has a lot of nuts in it and nuts have protein. Another good one is "Take 5" which has everything from pretzels to caramel and nuts in it. Take 5 would be good also because it is conveniently broken into two bite sized pieces.
two candy + candy + candy + candy + candy = 5 taken + taken + taken + candy + candy = 3 taken + 2 candy
Candy bars did not exist in 1940. In fact they were invented in 1943 as an offshoot of allied wartime research. However the discovery did not reach the public until after the end of the second world war due to wartime privations, arriving in US shops in 1947. Britain did not see the candy bar until later due to the existence of rationing into the 1950s. Additonally they were (are) not known as 'candy bars' in Britain, but rather 'Wonga Loads.'
