Paraphrasing the Old Army slogan- Superman is a Superhero and a Gentleman and does not go around battling women. Superman appreciates alien cultures ( as a refugee from the planet Krypton< so he has some insight there) Wonder Woman is both an officer in the U.S., Army= defense department, or used to be, and a super-heroine and Princess of Themyscirra island. Imagine if the late Princess Diana sported a US Army Hershey Bar on her shoulder and was by day ( Lt. Spencer , G-2 intelligence). Aliens, even allied aliens are rarely given top-security tasks even in the Armed Forces- especially so. Anyhow Superman is a good guy and does not go about well, say teasing Girls with low-impact heat vision, no way!

With the exception of Hulk, Superman would easily defeat the Avengers, however, he would triumph over every Avengers member. In the comics, when Marvel & DC have had crossovers, Superman has beaten Hulk three times.
