On the Pokemon summary screen, under 'status', you should see a purple block with the words 'Pkrs' on it. You should also see a face (much like an emoticon), near the Pokemon's picture. These allow for you to see if the Pokemon has PokeRus.
The first time one (or more) of your Pokemon gets PokeRus and you take them to be healed in a center, the nurse there will comment on the differen condition of the Pokemon.

∙ 12y agoIf the Pokemon has pokerus, it will have PKRS as a stamp on its data page. if the Pokemon had pokerus, it will have a smiley face stamp. pokerus more oftenly occurs when it is traded to you internationally

No, the Pokemon egg cannot catch the pokerus. The Pokerus is a virus that can only be caught from Pokemon to Pokemon. The virus cannot be spread from Pokemon to egg. Actually when I had about 3 to 4 eggs in my party one time with an infected magby and a non-infected pidgey, after just 2 battles, not only did my pidgeyget the pokerus, but my Pokemon eggss started to catch it as well. They even hatched with the pokerus. Within about 10 battles all of the eggs had already caught it. It was all completely legit and not a hack.
How do you give pokarus to Pokemon?
Your Pokemon will randomly acquire Pokerus, like getting a shiny but only much, much rarer. You can also hack it onto your Pokemon. If you want your Pokemon to keep pokerus and use it, mark my words- to keep it's pokerus, only take it to the Pokemon center when it is absolutely necessary....I think I'm done now.
