Actually when I had about 3 to 4 eggs in my party one time with an infected magby and a non-infected pidgey, after just 2 battles, not only did my pidgeyget the pokerus, but my Pokemon eggss started to catch it as well. They even hatched with the pokerus. Within about 10 battles all of the eggs had already caught it.
It was all completely legit and not a hack.
