I do not think it is because women were born that way simply because we all have freedom of choice and some women choose to become lesbians. If some women were born that way that would mean they do not have a choice but to be a lesbian. But, they do.

Yes, many women are mistreated by men and a lesbian relationship may mean that some women are looking for love and don't believe men can fulfil their needs emotionally or sexually.

Girls also become lesbians because there is no risk of unwanted pregnancy or abortion with a male partner they hardly know or don't care about.

Girls also become lesbians because they enjoy having multiple female partners at once. There is a lot of group sex in the gay community compared to the heterosexual community.

Girls also become lesbians because of the shared values picked up from the internet, phones, tv, movies, friends and so on that shape the way we think about ourselves.
