Absolutely. I own access to the lab map and can confirm this. So be sure you know what you are doing when you consider to buy all the pieces. This means you can't sell it, trade it, transfer it, or lend it to anyone.

First you need to collect them all and then use them to find the lab. The pieces will disappear so you are unable to sell them, but from then on, you have permanant access to the lab.
