Where do you catch Ditto in Pokemon Platnium?

After you get the National Dex, visit the Trophy Garden and talk to the man there, he says a rare Pokémon is in his garden. Everyday the rare Pokémon changes, below are the Pokémon that can appear on his garden. Check everyday to catch 'em

actually i wasa just fighting a dittto... but i don'tk

know what pokeball to use for it. for Pokemon platinum

you can fight a ditto but there is a high chance to actually catch it.

and here's a tip just in case you go to trophy gardens and you find one.

never have your strongest Pokemon out first. or else ditto will copy you and

is smart enough not to copy and other Pokemon.

actually I've caughta ditto in Diamond and Pearl once you can go pass that guy blocking the path at the resort there are dittos in the grass there I have caught them and believe them to be there in platinum although I have not gotten that far yet in platnium.

They're in the Trophy Garden after you get the National Dex, but not all the time. A different "special" Pokemon is put there every day, and you need to talk to Mr. Backlot to figure out which one is there on that particular day. Save before you talk to him, and if he doesn't mention a Ditto, just reset and try again.

"in tall grass" Not quite. Ditto can only be found in the Trophy Garden, in Pokemon Mansion below Hearthome City. In order for ditto to appear you must first acquire the national Pokedex, and talk to Mr. Backlot, who will tell you what rare Pokemon appears in his garden for that day.

You can save before talking to him and simply reset the game if the Pokemon mentioned is not ditto.

Ditto can be found in the Trophy Garden as one of the "Daily Pokemon". The Mansion can be found on Route 212 which is south of town where you can walk with your Pokemon (can't recall the name at the moment).
