Which is harder tough guy or Iron Man competition?

I think Iron Man is harder because it is not for people who haven't spent years training. It is a triathlon with a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26 mile marathon run. The all-time record is 7:50:27 held by Luc Van Lierde and the cut off time is 17 hours.

The Tough Guy competition is running through a difficult obsticle course of 8 miles. The obsticles would require a different kind of training, not so much endurance as strength. The obsticles include climbing ropes, crawling under razor wire, jumping into freezing water, climbing over walls, going through a tunnel of muddy water, walking over fire and through electrical wire. The slippery mud and freezing water are health hazards causing broken bones and hypothermia.

Depending if you want to test your strength or stamina, they both seem fairly difficult, but I would still say Iron Man is harder.
