Saidal Khan Nassery was an Afghan military commander leading the forces of Mahmood Khan Hotak who fought against Safawis of Iran.

His forces captured Isfahan and Afghans ruled Iran for 30 years. When Shah Mahmoud Hotak died, Shah Asharaf Hotak or Shah Asharaf Afghan took over and he returned the throne to Persian prince under the condition that he will not stand against the presence of Afghan forces in Iran.

Saidal Khan is said to be a brave and in the same time a very, wise and generous military commander who according to some historians advised Shah Mahmoud Hotak that rulers and occupied forces should listen to the concern of the citizens in particular the citizens of occupied lands( He meant Iran and many parts of of present India and Pakistan) if they want to prolong their rule.

Is salman khan pathan?

Yes, he is. Abdul Qadeer Khan is a Pakistani Pashtun (Pathan) by ethnicity. He was born into an ethnically Pashtun, but Urdu-speaking family. In fact, pretty much all Pakistani Pashtuns (at least the urban dwellers and those that have gone to school) that live in Pakistan (NOT Afghan refugees or their offspring) speak Urdu. Abdul Qadeer Khan is part of a group of famous Pashtuns that are well know in Pakistan and have contributed to the betterment of the nation: A.Q. Khan, Ayub Khan, Imran Khan, etc.
