It lives in the chamber of secrets, which is under moaning Myrtle's bathroom at Hogwarts. many years ago, the basilisk killed myrtle in that bathroom. The Chamber of secrets is a chamber created bu Salazar Slytherin when he decided to leave Hogwarts, as he believed that the other creators (Rowena Ravenclaw, Godric Gryffindor, And Helga Hufflepuff) were not being selective enough in choosing the school's students. He wanted to only admit pure bloods, or those with only magical blood. So he built a chamber deep under the school, and put a monster, the basilisk, in it. The chamber was said to be opened in the future by the true heair of syltherin , who would unleash the monster and eliminate all "mud-bloods" or those with some non magical blood. First, without the invisibility cloak, levitate the jar thing on top of the bookcase just inside the door. This will cause a disturbance that Snape will investigate. As Harry, wear the cloak of invisibility and go up the steps to the right, behind the bookcases there. Pick up the Key. Snape will move to the steps in the back of the room. Keep the invisibility cloak on and go past him to open the door. You will find the first ingredient in the chest there. Light the cauldron to make the potion on the table blow up (I hid behind the door, but you could leave the room) and when it blows up, Snape will run in the room and drop the key. Go pick up the key and move to the left around the bookcases. Open the next chest. Snape will move to the edge of the bookcases and prevent your escape. To get out of this, move close to the bookcases and see the cauldron on the table on the other side. Light this as well, it will blow up and Snape will move. Run out of the room.

This is just a guess, but perhaps it is because her character (Moaning Myrtle) was not necessary to the plot of the final movies (DH - parts 1 & 2). The last time Myrtle was seen by Harry Potter was when she was ordered to leave the bathroom by Severus Snape. It is unknown whether she participated in The Battle of Hogwarts.
