The sun rises because of the position of the earth in relation to the sun. One complete revolution of the earth happens every 24 hours. While the earth is turning it seems that the sun is in a different spot in the sky, but the sun is stable and the earth is spinning.

Stars appear to rise and set for the same reason the sun does: as the Earth rotates on its axis, the spin carries the visible portion of the sky past us, moving from east to west.

Depending on your latitude, some stars never appear to set; only to fade out as the rising sun turns the night sky into day. These stars are generally near the poles, and can be used to figure out your direction (and the time of the night) in the dark.

because the Earth revolves (goes around something because of gravity) around the sun causing the sun to seem as if it rises in the morning and sets at night.

Why do you think the stars appear in the way described in the poem?

The stars appear as described in the poem due to the natural phenomenon of light pollution in urban areas. This causes a lack of visibility of stars, making them seem faint and distant, unlike the vibrant display in rural settings. Additionally, atmospheric conditions and the position of the observer can affect how stars are perceived.

Why do stars seem to make a circle in the sky?

The stars, as seen from the Northern Hemisphere, appear to circle around Polaris, the North star. They seem to circle around the north pole because the Earth rotates, while the stars are still. As we spin around, stars move out of our view and new ones enter. When looking up to the North pole, it is possible to see stars appear to be slowly spinning around the North star. In the Southern Hemisphere there is no conveniently located star but the stars still seem to spin around a point in the sky. The Sun seems to circle the Earth but again, the Earth is rotating and the sun is still. It's actually Earth that is spinning.

Why do some stars appear smaller than others?

Why does sun seem to appear two minutes before actual sunrise?

the sun is visible to us about 2 minutes before the sunrise & about 2 minutes after actual sunset because of atmospheric refraction.By actual sunrise, we mean the actual crossing of the horizon by the sun. The time difference between actual sunset & the apparent sunset is about 2 minutes. The apparent flattening of the sun"s disc at sunrise & sunset is also due to the same phenomenon .
