it is a democracy and a federation
i know who is running for the senate in my state
i try to read a variety of news sources
i read the local newspaper every day to learn about important issues
a citizen voters in a local election
a citizen researches the candidates running for office
a citizen emails for congressional representative about an important issue
people for the ethical treatment of animals
the national association for the advancement of colored people
print posters and campaign materials
they can be part of a community of like- minded citizens
i am concerned that there is too much corruption in government
engaging in civil disobedience
joining an interest group
Publicly protesting at a political rally - APEX
volunteering for a political campaign
A gun rights organization persuades congress to veto gun control legislation.
i know what issues are important to my community
i recognize the media can be a biased source
Citizens can make their voices heard through their congressional representatives. Apex :)
citizens have more say in political change
citizens make a difference in public policy
serving on a jury
serving in the military if drafted
It makes the political process more democratic by having citizens voice their concerns.
"My senator's votes don't reflect my views."
By encouraging them to view members of competing parties as enemies
