Black fly bite was unique. It left one third millimeter size blood where it took my blood. After about 15 hrs(?), I developed a red 5 millimeter diameter circle on the site. After 3 days, I still have the red circle. But the strength has weakened. I guess the redness will disappear in a week or so? What I'm worried is that the black fly carries parasites primarily in Africa or the middel Eastern countries. Does it possibly carry parasites in the States too? Could have I gotten some shot at the bite site so that the possible parasites could have been killed?
It depends on how hard the bite was! Usually 1-2hrs
The redness from a deer fly bite can last anywhere from a few hours to a day or two. Some people react differently to bites and take longer to recover from them.
Dr. Jerry Balentine's quote: "The black widow is about a half-inch long and symptoms of bite include abdominal pain, ... The bites of very large spiders such as tarantulas can be painful." I think it would take a long time.
