The trapezius is an upper back/neck muscle and the deltoids are shoulder muscles
Yes, rowing movements do work the deltoids, mainly the rear and lateral deltoids.
The upright row is a weight training exercise. This exercise involves the trapezius, the deltoids and the biceps. The narrower the grip the more the trapezius muscles are exercised, as opposed to the deltoids.
Prone Y raises work the muscles in the upper back, specifically the trapezius and deltoids.
I believe the question was what MUSCLES are used, not what BODYPARTS are used. can we please have a serious answer rather than all this guessing......... -anterior and lateral deltoids -upper fibers of the trapezius -wrist flexors -core muscles (for balance)
The deltoid is very interesting muscle. It arise from the outer and lateral border of the clavicle and outer and lateral border of the spine of the scapula. From the corresponding inner border, you have insertion of the trapezius muscle. The deltoid muscle is inserted on the deltoid tuberosity on the lateral and middle part of the humerus bone. So it looks that the trapezius muscle continue as the deltoid muscle.
A number of muscles are involved in shrugging your shoulders, including the latissiumus dorsi, the deltoids, the rhomboids, the scapular muscles, the biceps, the triceps, among others. The primary muscle is the upper trapezius muscle. The secondary muscles are the middle trapezius muscles and the levator scapulae.
Primary: Posterior Deltoids Secondary: Rhomboids and Traps
medial deltoids
To improve your form during bent-over lateral raises for targeting your lateral deltoids effectively, focus on keeping your back straight, bending at the hips, and maintaining a slight bend in your elbows. Lift the weights out to the sides in a controlled manner, leading with your elbows and keeping your shoulders down and back. Avoid swinging or using momentum to lift the weights, and focus on the mind-muscle connection to engage your lateral deltoids throughout the movement.
Lats, biceps, rhomboids, trapezius, posterior deltoids, erector spinae and teres major.
During lateral dumbbell raises, the primary muscles targeted are the deltoid muscles, specifically the lateral deltoids located on the sides of the shoulders.
