It is importand to study and research on alocolism as it is a well known disease which has plagued the society by putting various social mental and financial problems and pressures on the citizens and the individual consuming alcohol itself. The fact that its is readily avaliable and most common among many countries has led to its widespread consumption aming teenagers also. By studying alcohol dependence or Alcoholism, one would be able to analyse the root of the problem, its causes, effects and treatments to reduce its intake and to create awarness among the society by educating the people about its dire consequences both physical and psychological.
It is a disease, not a moral issue.
Alcohol abuse increases the risk of certain diseases in addition to accidents and deaths.
A disadvantage of single-issue programs is that they may become stigmatized because of the negative connotations of terms such as addiction and alcoholism.
It is a disease. No one wakes up one day and says: "I think I'll be an alcoholic."

Ethical Issue Intensity
Issue depicted refers to a given event that is brought fourth by the ideas.
The greatness of harm refers to the severity or extent of damage or negative impact caused by a particular issue. Issue intensity, on the other hand, refers to the level of importance or significance of an issue. Understanding both factors is crucial for assessing the overall impact and importance of addressing a particular problem.
Alcoholism occurs in about 7% of the total population worldwide if they drink enough to become addicted to alcohol. Age is not an issue. The biggest difference so far as age is concerned is that more mature people tend to have more skill at hiding it, and more reasons to do so.
I sense that most people see drinking/alcoholism as a moral issue rather than attendant brain chemistry at work. I think people believe that not drinking is a matter of will, and many people see chemical dependency as a mental health issue in that people drink because of what happened to them growing up. It's important to remember that we're talking about brain chemistry......not willpower..
