It depends on which part of Africa you are referring to. Sadly, many Africans lived and continue to live in extreme poverty and squalor. There are a number of Africans, however, that were very rich and lived like kings and queens. In fact, African royalty dates back countless centuries and precedes many royal families of Europe.
