during the time of black/white segregation Rosa Parks, when sat on a bus was told to move when a white man got onto the bus. she refused. this was against the law. she stood up (metaphorically) for the right to have a seat on the bus as she was equally as worthy as the white man. rosa parks was arrested and taken to prison. a very famous black man named dr Martin Luther King heard about this and decided to help. Martin Luther King was a very strong public speaker. he then wrote and spoke the 'i have a dream'. delivered on the Lincoln memorial. (this speech is 17 minutes long). Martin Luther King was assassinated.
