The legal age of majority for the state is 18. Massachusetts has no formal emancipation laws, but minors are legally independent at age 17 and a half. http://www.masslegalhelp.org/children-and-families/emancipation
WHOA. Just whoa.
Ok, I live in Massachusetts, and let me tell you, it's wicked hard to make enough money to survive up here. Yeah, it's like that everywhere, but it's especially difficult here. Also, taxes are really high, and houses cost a ton. Let's not forget about owning a car and baying over 3.30 for gas. One more thing, what about the winter? Do you even know how much it costs to heat your home? Yikes.
Overall, I'd say no. Flat-out NO.
Okay, first off the question was not how difficult it is to live in MA when your 17. it is CAN you move out at 17. From the information i have looked up on this (and i am 18 by the way) i have found that when you are 17 and a half you are legally independent and you can move out with parents permission. you CANNOT be legally emancipated until you are 18 in massachusetts, but you can move out with your guardians permission at 17 i would say, overall. hope this helps :)

In Massachusetts, the legal age of adulthood is 18. However, there are exceptions to this rule, such as emancipation or with permission from a parent or guardian. It's advisable to seek legal counsel or guidance from the Department of Children and Families to understand your options.
The easiest is parental permission. Otherwise you can try to get emancipation.
Without parental permission not until you are 18.
In Massachusetts, a 17-year-old is considered a minor and would generally need their parent's consent or approval from a court to move out of their parents' home. Without parental consent or court approval, they are still under the legal custody of their parents.
Being pregnant does not emancipate you. You must be 18 or married.
In Massachusetts, individuals must be at least 18 years old to legally move out of their parent or guardian's home without their consent. However, a 17-year-old may be able to emancipate themselves through the court system if they can demonstrate that they are financially independent and capable of living on their own. It is recommended to seek legal advice in this situation.
