I believe the median salary for union workers in the U.S.is $17.00 per hour.
The Packingtown workers of 1904....please refer to The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. -- Workers were required to join the Union Shop.
The Soviet Union made their own nuclear weapons to compete with the US
NovaNET: could be replaced at anytime Union workers can still be replaced at any time. Before the NLRA, us skilled and unskilled workers negotiated with their bosses INDIVIDUALLY, there was no COLLECTIVE bargaining.
A US union is a private association or club with internal rules. It is granted the legal right to attempt to "organize" a subset of workers at an employer, by asking them to join voluntarily. US law prohibits some workers from being a union member, so those NOT excluded at one workplace are called the bargaining unit. If 1/3 of the unit asks for a secret ballot election, the federal government oversees it after a campaign between the union and the employer. If 50% +1 of those who VOTE on ballot day vote for Union X, then everyone in the bargaining unit is in the union, and bargaining a contract begins.
I will post a link telling you what cars are Union Made. If one is not on the list it is produced by non-union workers. Click the link: Trick Question, Unions are dead. She was killed by the Bush Administration.
Workers at the Honda plant are apart of the United Auto Workers or UAW for short. This is considered to be apart of the US auto union.
United Garment Workers of America
I believe the median salary for union workers in the U.S.is $17.00 per hour.
The number of US construction workers registered in a union in 2010 was 801,000. However, there are more workers that do not belong to a union. Thus, this number is actually much higher if we are counting workers overall.
The man who started the first union for the farm workers in the US was Cesar Chavez. He started the United Farm Workers of America in 1962. It is the largest farm workers union.
In the past workers were made to sign a "Yellow Dog Contract", stating that they are not and would not be part of a union. Yellow Dog Contracts are now against the law in the US.
United Brick Workers
If you are a US citizen you are the Union. Any state that may, in the future, join the Union would become US citizens. If you are referring to a workers union then it depends on the constitution of that union. There are several international ones.
The Packingtown workers of 1904....please refer to The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. -- Workers were required to join the Union Shop.
US and Canada
There was no such union. Did you mean War Labor BOARD, a US federal agency?
