IMO, you would probably get a 'list' of King David's accomplishments in the Old Testament category. The global Bible category leaves room for a Christian perspective which may or may not give you a list.

Suffice it to say then, that the Scripture tells us King David was a man after God's own heart - yes, even with his human sins which he fully repented of. Prophecy goes as far as to tell us of the 'Key of David' prophecy for the Millennial Rule and how he will be raised to be King again of all Israel. Surely, anyone can see he is greatly blessed because of his great submission to God.

But more important than thinking on the human plane of our 'pluses and minuses,' hoping to achieve more positive than negative, we humans are to put that all aside and consider what our Creator God wants from each of us. That is the eternal accomplishment we are to seek. Obediance to His Will, doing His Works, striving to be His - this is the paramount message Jesus gave to us and showed us all in His perfect example.

There will be many who will not perceive this main point and they will continue on as we humans do, weighing the pluses versus the minuses, hoping to make ourselves more 'presentable' to our future Judge - yet Scripture tells us no works of men can give us Salvation. Consider this:

Matthew 7:22-23New King James Version (NKJV)

22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

But King David got beyond this human foible and humbly surrendered himself to God. Just reading his Psalms will reveal this to anyone.
