The European sub-race (aka "whites") are highly aggressive as a people, and almost all of their societies involve conquering other cultures and spreading out as far as possible - think of the Roman civilization which covered Europe and a good deal of Africa at one time and the British empire which spanned most of the globe (after the Romans left their country). Most other cultures, such as the ones we refer to as "blacks," have less aggressive societies and stick closer to home. This is why, until the Europeans developed good navies and began conqering the lands across the seas, you found "blacks" in Africa, "orientals" in Asia, and aboriginal tribes in the Americas and Australia. What this all boils down to is that the "whites," as the conquering race, always portrayed whatever race they were overpowering as "lesser" or "in need of leadership." If the African or Asian societies had been as aggressive as the Europeans, we would now be asking "why are blacks favored over whites?" or "why are asians favored over whites?" instead of this question.
