On a regular bicycle the rear wheel will carry more of the weight, so the rear tire will be compressed more. This compression will effectively reduce the diameter, making the rear tire turn more times than the front.

Also, if road conditions are poor the rear(drive) wheel can slip when pedalling to the point of giving a measurable larger number of rotations.

Why does a bus have more kinetic energy than a bicycle?

A bus has more kinetic energy than a bicycle because it has greater mass and moves at a higher speed. Kinetic energy is proportional to mass and velocity squared, so the larger mass and higher speed of the bus contribute to its greater kinetic energy compared to a bicycle.

About the penny farthinghow does the penny farthing work and who invented it and why did he invent it?

The penny farthing is a type of bicycle. The bicycle has a large front wheel with a seat on top and a tiny back wheel. The bicycle was invented by Eugene Meyer. The bicycle was invented because the larger wheel meant higher speeds by which the cyclist could travel.

How do they determine the mathematics of a bike frame?

Every bicycle maker uses their own bicycle (size) geometry formula. Such formulas have been refined throughout the years, and in many instances, completely redesigned as the riding styles have drastically changed over the years. Many custom bicycle makers do use a special computer application for determining ones ( a rider) optimal bicycle geometry - which can also be calculated by a Certified Bicycle Fitter, found at many higher-end bicycle shops.

What whould happen if the time of rotation for Earth was different?

The days would be longer, and the gravity would be higher if the rotation time of earth was longer. The days would be shorter, and there would be less gravity on Earth if the rotation time decreased.

What are some domestic uses for kitchen counter stools?

How is it possible for a bicycle to have more momentum than a truck?

While a truck may have more mass than a bicycle, momentum is also influenced by velocity. If the bicycle is traveling at a significantly higher speed than the truck, it can have more momentum due to the combination of its mass and velocity. Momentum is calculated as mass multiplied by velocity, so a lighter object with higher velocity can have more momentum than a heavier object with lower velocity.

What does the "RPM" mean, and is higher or lower better?

RPM = Rotations Per Minutes. the higher the rotation speed, the faster your computer can read/find your files.

Does difficulty of bicycle go gears from low number to high number?

the higher the number, the harder it is to peddle, but you will go faster

How would you go about changing your speed on a bicycle?

pedal harder and fasterkeep pedalling at the same pace, but change to a higher gear

What is the difference between a bicycle helmet and a moped helmet?

A moped helmet is sturdier, heavier and less ventilated. It is expected to provide decent protection at accidents at higher speeds than a bicycle helmet. A bicycle helmet is lighter, better ventilated and only has to provide decent protection at lower speeds than a moped helmet.

Why does a second hand of a clock have a slower velocity?

No the 'second hand' of a clock has a higher velocity, it makes one rotation each minute, while the minute hand makes on rotation each hour and the hour hand makes one rotation every 12 hours.
