There are special drills that are made specially for drilling many types of glass.

They work perfectly well on mirrors. For the best results you should drill from the back of the mirror, this reduces the chance of the reflective coating from splitting away from the glass.

Steel framed doors?

Expensive door jams have screw holes for tapcoms to install into concrete foundation or wood framed jams. Cheap door, you have to morter the jam in place. I drill a 1/2in hole through the rise plate(frame stop ) then drill hole size of screw through the outer plate that is against the foundation or jam. This way you do not see the screws that are holding the frame.

What is Cam Actuated Drill Ahead Tool?

The CADA allows you to jet in surface pipe and drill out without making an additional trip out of the hole. The 36" relies on skin tension to stay in place, and after observation from the ROV the CADA will release the BHA and allow you to drill out the next section of casing while all returns are coming up through the pipe. Low fracture gradients in surface section don't allow returns on the backside of pipe.

What is the use of rat hole equipment in drilling technology?

There is no rat hole equipment. A rat hole is a section of the well drilled to allow the entry of electric logging equipment or for use as a space to drop perforating guns inot leaving the perforated zone free of obstruction If your are talking about the equipment to drill the rat hole for the conductor pipe, mobile auger rigs are used to drill a 24 to 30 diameter shaft 40 to perhaps 250 feet deep. A conductor pipe is then set in the drilled hole to the design depth and grouted to fill the annulus and seal the conductor pipe with the surrounding soil/rock. This process is particularly critical in gas well production and in some parts of the country require deeper conductors to improve safety and provide the necessary foundation for the oil/gas well rig and the blow-out prevention (BOP) devise that can be quiet large and heavy. In some areas, like Western Colorado, where the desire to minimize the environmental impact of well site development is growing, some operators may install as many as 24 conductor pipes on a single location for directional drilling.

How do you cut or drill through a fixed wall mirror to mount a light fixture?

i think you should drill through the wall slowly The question was about drilling an hole in a mirror. I think the correct way to do this is to mark out where the hole is required, get some putty and form a cupped mound below, fill with varsol or white spirit, and drill the hole slowly with a special glass drill bit. You must keep the bit lubricated with the liquid to dissipate heat and prevent the mirror from cracking.
