If the car is in her name and the husband took it without permission yes, you can report it but do you want the husband to have a record with the police, unless the couple lives apart and he is being annoying!
Added: Once law enforcement learns that this is a lawfully married (or even common-law) husband/wife situation it is very likely that they will decline to accept the report as a violation of criminal law.
It clearly involves a dispute between the two parties over their mutually owned possession, and is entirely a civil matter.
AND, yes, this applies even in cases where the ownershp is solely in the name of the 'aggrieved' spouse.
Why would they report it stolen?? IF it was stolen from you, then YOU would report it stolen. The lender loaned MONEY so they will recover money(garnishment, leins, ect.) if the collateral disappears. They will eventually find where you are working and you will pay for not only the car but court fees. Do yourself a favor and give the car up it's not yours.
Yes you can.
You can report is stolen and hope their homeowners insurance will cover its replacement.
Yes, you can report a gift as stolen to the police or relevant authorities.
Good question, do you where the car is? If so, you can go get it yourself. Have you contacted the person and told them to bring it back? If you have, they wont, you can report it stolen in most states. If that doesnt apply, email me.
You can report it to the police.
it wouldn't be reported as a "stolen" vehicle unless they signed an agreement stating when they would return it. At most, it would be unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Best thing to do would be to send a certified, return receipt, restricted delivery letter to the person stating they have so many days to return it or it will be considered stolen. Also put in the letter that acceptance of the letter constitutes their agreement. Yes you can report your car stolen but only if you said return it by a certain time. If you failed to give a time period, then you cannot report it as stolen.
Not possible to report them stolen unless they go jacked off in a car lot
it is if you report it to the police as stolen
IF the TITLE is in your name only, you can take it back OR report it stolen.
No. But if you get your money stolen and you don't file a police report, you won't get your money back. If you get your car stolen and you don't file a police report, you won't get your car back. If you get your jewelry or furniture stolen and you don't file a police report, you won't get your jewelry or furniture back. If you get your car stolen and you don't file a police report, you won't get your car back. If you get your bike stolen and you don't file a police report, you won't get your bike back. The point is if you get something stolen and you don't file a police report, you won't get your stuff back. But they're not allowed to put you in jail for refusal to report a stolen car, bike, jewelry, money etc. You won't go to jail for refusal to report a stolen object, but whatever you got stolen, you won't get it back.
Call the police and make a report.
