The constitution may be amended by the "votes" of three fourths of the legislatures or conventions of the individual states. Congress decides whether the states adopt amendments by their legislatures or state conventions. It is not as simple as "how many votes to amend the Constitution", since, individual voters do not vote for amendments.
3/4
3/3
An amendment becomes a part of the constitution. It's not just a law that can be repealed by passing another law, it's part of the constitution itself, and changing the constitution requires an amendment.
3/4 votes from the state legislature, house of representatives and senate
In a democracy, a simple majority is enough to pass a law.
Two-thirds ( 67 ) of the Senators must agree in order to pass a proposed amendment . (2/3 of House are also required and once an amendment is passed, 3/4 of the states must ratify it before it becomes law.)
Congressional leaders believe they have the votes necessary to override a veto
216
It takes 218 votes to pass a bill if everyone votes. There are 435 representatives and a majority ( one more than half) of those voting is required to pass a bill.
Actually, there are a limited amount of people in the Senate. Anyway, the bill is passed when there are more votes to pass the bill EX: 60 wants bill, 25 doesn't
All of those present
