Not necessarily. (I am living proof.) I had "serious" felony warrants in MORE THAN ONE U.S. state. Still, I flew both on domestic flights and on international flights with no problems. There is no "Star Trek" style computer (yet) that just "finds" every and any wanted individual wherever & whenever they decide to buy a plane ticket! You're tripping hard if you believe that sort of thing!

How did I do it? Well, I didn't "do" anything. I bought a ticket with cash, showed my passport and boarded the aircraft. And, if it is of any interest to you, I have flown in and out of several other nations since then, and the warrant(s) remained active during all of these flights.

So, don't believe the nonsense people tell you! Every passenger on every flight isn't cross-referenced for felony warrants!!! That's preposterous! That's "made for t.v." One time, in fact, I skipped a court date (a bench warrant was issued immediately, of course), and then a week later I flew to Amsterdam (and back) despite the felony warrant being active in my name. I was only apprehended when I turned myself in. . . after I returned from Europe! So there! Law Enforcement would have to be actively searching for you at the precise airport from which you departed & at the precise time when you departed. Otherwise, if you pay for your ticket and board the plane like everybody else, NO, nobody is going to stop you!

Yes, a person with a felony warrant can be arrested if they travel by air. Airport security checks for outstanding warrants during the check-in process, and if a warrant is discovered, the individual may be detained and turned over to law enforcement.

Can you fly with a felony warrant?

I have flown many times with my warrents. i had more than one and i was never arrested. but you should still take care of your tickets though. you do have options like monthly payment plan, community service, some places have weekend jail. if you dont take care of ur warrents then when ur id or license expires you cant get it renewed without them calling state patrol to come pick you up and then you will sit out ALL warrents at once. And without a valid ID you cant get anything done in the state. Not even car ins, which runs you the risk of getting another ticket.

Do airlines run felony checks on passengers?

No, airlines typically do not run felony checks on passengers. However, passengers are subject to security screenings by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at airports, and those with outstanding warrants or felonies may be flagged.

Can you travel to Mexico with a warrant?

Well, that depends upon whether the police catch you. A warrant means the police intend to arrest you. So if your id is run by the police when you exit or enter the country, you the warrant will show up and you will be arrested. If you fly by airplane, your id will likely get you arrested. If you go by car you will likely get into Mexico OK, but could get tagged on the way back in. Of course, you can cross the border like the illegals do, and then it doesnt matter unless you get caught. Short answer - get the warrant cleared.

The term "warrant' implies that you are a 'wanted' person in MN. You cannot "pay" off a warrant. You must either surrender yourself to the WY authorities and await possible extradition or travel to WY and surrender yourself.

Will you be arrested in airport if you have a warrant?

AnswerGenerally not, but it depends on the nature of your warrant: If you have committed a serious crime (such as murder, child abuse, etc) and there is a warrant out for your arrest, most local airports will be flagged with your name/and or picture. HOWEVER: unless you are a well-known felon, generally the only way they will know is if you check baggage. That means that while they might not recognize your name as you go through security etc., I can almost guarantee that the airport's computer system will have your name/driver's license number flagged, and they WILL take the time to check into it. So a safe bet is not to travel at all, because there is no exception to this: leaving the state when you have a warrant out for your arrest is a felony. But if you must fly, check in online or at a kiosk in the airport.

Can you travel in Europe with an active scottish arrest warrant?

You can travel anywhere with an active warrant. Whether you get arrested depends on whether their warrants are passed through to whatever country you enter Europe at. Also, if you're in Europe, whether you get arrested depends on whether the warrants are reported to law enforcement at the local level in the particular country. Also whether the offense is extradictable. Chances are, nobody is going to bother to send you back there for a warrant for a 200 euro traffic fine unless they can find a way to bill Scotland for the cost to send you there. For a murder case, it's very likely they would.

Can a person travel by air if wanted by a state for probation violation?
