The obligations under the Geneva Convention require POWs to refrain from acts of violence and to obey the laws and regulations of their captors. However, it is NOT true that POWs are required to provide information beyond their name, rank, and serial number; they have the right to remain silent regarding other questions. Additionally, while POWs must respect the rules of conduct, they are not obligated to cooperate in ways that could harm their own interests or those of their comrades.

As of my last update in October 2023, there are no known living Prisoners of War (POWs) or Missing in Action (MIA) personnel from conflicts like the Vietnam War, as the last recognized POWs returned home in the 1970s. However, there may still be ongoing efforts to identify remains and account for individuals listed as MIA from various conflicts, but these cases involve deceased individuals rather than living POWs. For the most current statistics, it's best to consult official sources like the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA).
Because the treatment of POWs was not obvious. Terrorists with an irrational hatred of Jews and Americans, are. It would be like the BBC having an investigation into whether there is oxygen in the air today.
