a good education. you need to go to college and get a degree.
The requirements as of 30 April 2010 is that a person must be a High School Senior or Graduate, a College Student or have a GED with 15+ college credits. Not everyone can afford to attend college, the US Army will assist you in your efforts on obtaining a college degree by giving you Tuition Assistance of $4,500.00 a year to attend any college/university of your choice as well as studying the field of your choice and also the Montgomery GI Bill up to $50,448.00. Now you have a lot of benefits given to you, but you will need to know how to use them and of course take advantage of them on your own. At the time of in-processing the personnel at the Army's Education Center will train and teach you how to use your educational benefit's.
A degree does not make you a better or smarter person, it just means that you went to college, it is however always with in your best interest to get as much education as you can to make yourself more marketable to society and hey if its free why not use it.
