Approximately 2,594,000 US servicemen served in country in Vietnam. For a war with well over 22,000 charged draft dodgers, of which about 8,800 were convicted and about 4,000 of those men imprisoned...it' just doesn't make sense how as many as from 8 to 14 million (depending upon what source you're reading) men are all of a sudden (or have been since the 1990's) wannabe Vietnam War veterans. During the Viet War, NO ONE wanted to be a part of it. If someone mentioned that he wanted to be in the service or wanted to fight in Vietnam he was immediately BRANDED as a "nut case." Now...1990's...21st century...8 to 14 million men (sources vary) are wannabe Viet War vets. Where were those men when we needed them?!
