The Battle of Gettysburg is usually noted as the turning point of the US Civil War.
Because everybody else had been fighting in the war for about 3 years, and they were all tire so when US came in we were fresh and new and all the other countries like the people we were fighting against were really tired and we were not tired.

Stalingrad was the turning point on the Eastern Front. El Alamein was the turning point in Africa. Midway was the turning point in the Pacific, and Normandy was the turning point on the Western Front.
The turning point in the Pacific war came at the Battle of Midway. The US cracked Japanese codes and learned of a Japanese attack on Midway. They then sent an armada of ships to meet this attack. The US inflicted heavy damage, including sinking 4 Japanese carriers.
