I don't think that the British people needed any pushing when it came to their resolve to stopping the Germans from invading their country. The British especially in those days still had a certain arrogance that they were an empire and that no country. especially one they defeated just a few years earlier was going to become their master. The prime minister Winston Churchill had an easy task when it came to convincing the British to fight.
