Who won the war of 1812? Well it's pretty much an even debate between America and Britain. But I think the British had won over America, because Britains objective was to defend Canada at the time and they completed that. America's objective was to take over Britain, and did they succeed? Not at all. Did the British fight them off? Yes they did, very well, so well the Americans retreated! Believe it or not, America sent ten different armies to try to take over what was Britains land at the time, and they were all driven out. No matter how you look at it or where you're from, the American's failed their objective. In two places too, upper Canadad and lower Canada. As a matter of fact, the Brittish had killed more of the American's than the American's had killed them!
So let's recap, America came to take over Britain failed, retreated, and had more troops dead than the British and the British didn't even start the war! They just defended themselves in the first battles. Imagine how embarresed the American's would have been coming back and telling their country they had lost and retreated from a war they started? I bet very.
After us defending ourselves so well, two years later when we invaded them in Washington, they had no clue. They defended so poorly, it was like a walk in the park for the British as they walked in to Washington and burnt down the whitehouse. After we defend so amazingly they retreat, then we invade and they have no clue and loose their White House, and still say they won…
I also think that the British won the war because of the fact of Canada. If the Americans had won the war why is there Canada where Britain used to be instead of America? Because if the American's had won the war, since Canada and America are connected to eachother's land, Canada would be America, But it's not. So being the British's new land, the British decided to name it "Canada", which is now our country today, and not the American's.
Also, when the British invaded the American's in Detriot, the American's surrendered! So, they come and invade us and we fight them off amazingly, then we invade and they surrender! I'm still confused on how they think they won after that. The gerneral of the Amerian's sent his son out holding up a white flag. So that battle wasn't even considered a battle I guess, but if there was a winner it was the British because of the fact they surrendered.
After the American's losing many battles, including their last battle of Fort Bowyer, The American's wanted to sign a peace treaty, there for they wouldn't loose anymore battles. Mind you, the British did sign it instead of still fighting, but they had won more battles at that point so it didn't have much of an affect on them winning the war. During this time and war, the Brithish were at Napoleon War making it even harder for the British to pull off a win but they still did! And with that the American's had enough and signed it off.
Also, the British were pretty much controlling some of the American's. There were American troops and citizans helping the British by giving them top secret government notes, battle plans, food while the American's were starving, and advice! The british actually were being helped by their oposing team! When your team is helping the enemy, chances are they don't want you to win and they want the other team to win… As the British did win, in my opinion along with many others. I think that control deffinatley put them ahead and made America look like a mess!
The war began in Indiana at the Battle of Tippecanoe in Battle Ground Indiana.
They were busy fighting another war against the French Commander Napolean Boneparte and they were alot more of a threat then the U.S. at the time Added: After Britain had defeated Napoleon they began providing Aid to Canada, Canada won in the end with the burning of the White House.
the reason of the war to occur because USA thought that the loyalists were helping the Natives raid American towns, so then America declared war with Britain

That depends on which war between Britain and America you mean. There's the American Revolution that was resolved with the Treaty of Paris and the War of 1812 that ended with the Treaty of Ghent, signed in Ghent, Belgium.
