The oil filter on a Honda Rubicon is typically located on the right side of the engine, near the front. It can be accessed easily from the side of the ATV. Depending on the model year, it may require removal of some panels for better access. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific details related to your model.

About 5 quarts
I have a rubicon 2004 the oil capacity is 5.2 to 5.5 quarts. You have to put 5 quarts in and crank the 4 wheeler and let it run for 1 minute and check the oil as soon as you turn the engine off to see if you need to add .2 or .5 to your rubicon. The ? is about a Honda Rubicon ATV.
The 2006 Rubicon holds 4.9 qts when you change it. It is for both the engine and transmission.
