As an owner of a 99 Chevy venture let me give you some tips( get rid of it) but really the problems you describe are more than likely not related. Chevy ventures are known to have brake lamp socket issues,in which the sockets get hot and burn up plus bulb manufacturers cant seem to make a bulb last for more than six months at a time hence if you have a bulb that is bad or a bad socket it will cause the abs lamp to come on indicating a problem with the braking system or a burned out lamp/bad socket. The fuel gage is more than likely a bad sending unit in the tank (very expensive fix for what it does)..and if the door lock button doesnt work it is more than likely a bad switch or it has gotten wet and has corroded from a window being left down and getting rained in ect ect...try exersising the button a bunch of times to see if you can get it to work otherwise i would order a new switch from the dealer...Hope this has helped you out I truly hate my venture van and thought i was the only one who got a lemmon...FYI the extended warranty i had on my van has paid out over 8,000 dollars in repairs to the local Chevy dealership here for my 99 Chevy venture.. for brake sockets,tie-rods,ABS motor pack, transmission problems, intake gaskets, fuel pumps, etc etc I could go on and on.good luck
You might want to check the fuse box in the engine compartment. My headlamps would turn off at random, sometimes while driving. I used to open the hood and shut it and they would come back on. Then I figured out that there was something loose at the fuse box in the engine compartment and jiggling the wires solved the problem for good.
Immunity's problem
An alternator cannot "short" out for years or even minutes. The definition of a short is a wire or circuit touching ground to cause a fuse to blow. The circuit is too "short" for the current to flow through the proper load and back to the battery. The voltage regulator in a alternator can act up from time to time and cause improper charging from the alternator. Or a component of the alternator can go bad and cause a charging system problem intermittently. Your question needs to be explained better to give a better answer.
Acid rain isnt a local problem, it is an international problem. It is caused by the world wide nation
Your face was biggest problem .
the venture capital formula is pxsxe p=problem s=solution e=talent
Probably the switch on the lever that the brake pedal is attached to.
I need a module for the a chevrolet venture 2003 the the driver side window wont go down
Problem is most Likely the ground wire on the motor by the thermostat
If your Chevy Venture ABS light is on, that means that there is some type of problem with your anti-lock brakes. For the light to turn off, you will need to see a mechanic and have the problem looked at.
It sounds as if you have either a power or ground problem at the motor.
I had this problem with my 2001 Venture, the dealer replaced the motor and the mechanism. The van was only 6 mos. old..
I also have a 2000 Venture same problem. Solution was tire balance weights fell off. They were replaced and problem resolved but....the tires were worn irregularly on the inside and I had them replaced.
better have the head gasket checked for leaks
Problem with the SRS. Seek professional help. Not a DIY repair.
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
VSS Sensor maybe.
