No, the Moors are a particular sub-group of Muslims. The term "Moor" is actually a derisive term used to refer to Amazigh or Berber peoples of North Africa and those who lived in Spain in the Middle Ages. After 680 C.E., most Amazigh had converted to Islam and led the Islamic conquest of Spain.

However, the Amazigh did not have power in Spain until the Arab Umayyad Dynasty died out. The Almoravid and Almohad States were both Amazigh-led and numerous Taifa-States were also Amazigh-led. However, there were also Arab-led Taifas, Muladí-led Taifas (Muladí refers to native Iberian Muslims), and Siqlabi-led Taifas (Siqlabi refers to Slavic Slaves who had been imported to Spain by the Muslims). The last Amazigh-led Taifas fell to the Castillians and Aragonese in the mid-1200s. The final Spanish Islamic State, the Nasrid Kingdom, was an Arab-led Taifa, which fell in the 1492.
