Europe is the only continent in the world that has no major deserts. Many people think that Antarctica has no deserts. The Antarctic is a cold desert located in Antarctica. A desert isn't always hot. A desert is a place where it receives very little rain.

Almost the entire continent of Antarctica is a desert. It meets the 'less than 10 inches of precipitation per year' rule. While Europe has no major desert areas it does have several smaller deserts such as the Tabernas Desert in Spain and the Accona Desert in Italy.
