Asian Horror Movies or American Horror Movies which are more scary?

I'd really say it'd depend on the creators. You get an Asian Steven King, POW; you got yourself a good Horror plot. I am not much familiar with Asian pop culture however. If someone would care to fill this in?
Personally, I have to say Asian horror films. They're more creative. American mostly remake Asian horror films. Such as The Grudge, The Ring, Mirrors, One Missed Call, Pulse, The Eye, A Tale Of Two Sisters... The remakes aren't that well made, either.
Also, I don't find many American films frightening. It's just blunt gore. Asian horror films usually have very interesting plots.
The only American horror films I thoroughly enjoy is Stephen King films.

It depends on the movie. Some horror movies are really scary but only rated pg13 and some horror movies that aren't really scary are rated R. For me i don't find them scary. I sort of find them to be amusing. They're my equivilant of comedy, because i have a rather dark sense of humor. THAT is why horror movies are great :)
