What are the lyrics to the Last Song from the movie Phantom of the Opera?

PHANTOM: Down once more to the dungeon of my black despair! Down we plunge to the prison of my mind! Down that path into darkness deep as hell! Why, you ask, was I bound and chained in this cold and dismal place? Not for any mortal sin, but the wickedness of my abhorrent face! CHORUS: Track down this murderer! He must be found! Track down this murderer! He must be found! PHANTOM: Hounded out by everyone! Met with hatred everywhere! No kind word from anyone! No compassion anywhere! Christine, Christine ... Why, why ...? MADAME GIRY: Your hand at the level of your eyes! ... at the level of your eyes ... This is as far as I dare go. CHRISTINE: Have you gorged yourself at last, in your lust for blood? Am I now to be prey to your lust for flesh? PHANTOM: That fate, which condemns me to wallow in blood has also denied me the joys of the flesh ... this face - the infection which poisons our love ... This face, which earned a mother's fear and loathing ... A mask, my first unfeeling scrap of clothing ... Pity comes too late - turn around and face your fate: an eternity of this before your eyes! CHRISTINE: This haunted face holds no horror for me now ... It's in your soul that the true distortion lies ... PHANTOM: Wait! I think, my dear, we have a guest! CHRISTINE: Raoul! PHANTOM: Sir, this is indeed an unparalleled delight! I had rather hoped that you would come. And now my wish comes true - you have truly made my night! RAOUL: Free her! Do what you like only free her! Have you no pity? PHANTOM: Your lover makes a passionate plea! CHRISTINE: Please Raoul, it's useless! RAOUL: I love her! Does that mean nothing? I love her! Show some compassion ... PHANTOM: The world showed no compassion to me! RAOUL: Christine ... Christine ...Let me see her ... PHANTOM: Be my guest, sir ... Monsieur, I bid you welcome! Did you think that I would harm her? Why should I make her pay for the sins which are yours? Order your fine horses now! Raise up your hand to the level of your eyes! Nothing can save you now - except perhaps Christine ... Start a new life with me - Buy his freedom with your love! Refuse me, and you send your lover to his death! This is the choice - This is the point of no return! CHRISTINE: The tears I might have shed for your dark fate grow cold, and turn to tears of hate! RAOUL: Christine, forgive me please forgive me ... I did it all for you, and all for nothing ... CHRISTINE: Farewell my fallen idol and false friend ... We had such hopes and now Those hopes are shattered! PHANTOM: Too late for turning back, too late for prayers and useless pity! RAOUL: Say you love him and my life is over PHANTOM: All hope of cries for help; no point in fighting! RAOUL/PHANTOM: For either way you choose, he has to win/you cannot win! PHANTOM: So, do you end your days with me, or do you send him to his grave? RAOUL: Why make her lie to you, to save me? CHRISTINE: Angel of Music ... PHANTOM: Past the point of no return - RAOUL: For pity's sake, Christine, say no! CHRISTINE: ...who deserves this? PHANTOM: ... the final threshold... RAOUL: Don't throw your life away for my sake! CHRISTINE: When will you see reason ...? PHANTOM: His life is now the prize which you must earn! RAOUL: I fought so hard to free you ... CHRISTINE: Angel of Music ... PHANTOM: You've passed the point of no return ... CHRISTINE: ... you deceived me. I gave my mind blindly. PHANTOM: You try my patience - make your choice! CHRISTINE: Pitiful creature of darkness ... What kind of life have you known ...? God give me courage to show you you are not alone ... CHORUS: Track down this murderer He must be found!... PHANTOM: Take her - forget me - forget all of this ... Leave me alone - forget all you've seen ... Go now - don't let them find you! Take the boat - swear to me never to tell The secrets you know of the angel in hell CHORUS: The Phantom of the Opera is there inside your mind! PHANTOM: Go now! Go now, and leave me! Masquerade... Paper faces on parade... Masquerade... Hide your face so the world will never find you... Christine, I love you... CHRISTINE: Say you'll share with me, one love, one lifetime... RAOUL: Say the word and I will follow you... CHRISTINE: Share each day with me, each night, each morning... PHANTOM: You alone can make my song take flight - it's over now, the music of the night!

Writer's feelings about Phantom of the Opera?

It depends on the movie, you mean the musical, or the drama version which have been several movies made in the last eighty years. Lon Chaney's Phantom 1925 Classic is the unmasking, when Christian takes his mask off revealing his scarred skull like face. 1943 Claude Rains as the Phantom playing the violin, chiller performance with his mild manners unexpected villain almost gives sympathic feel to the audience for him.Susanna Foster who played Christine, with a lovely soprano who had given up her singing after this movie. Nelson Eddy his baritone voice is super notch form, sings brilliantly with his co-star heroine Susanna Foster as Christine. The musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, it have to be The Music of the Night when the Phantom reveals his love for Christine. The final scene where Christine is trying to save Raoul her fiancee from the misguided Phantom who has never known love and kindness.

How did the phantom of the opera end?

The Phantom is unmasked by Christine during a performance after he disguises himself as Piangi (After murdering him). The Phantom drags Christine down to his lair whilst Madame Giry leads Raoul to its entrance, meanwhile, a mob forms in pursuit of the Phantom.Christine is forced into the wedding dress in the lair not long before Raoul arrives, the Phantom allows him into the lair and, whilst he speaks with Christine, suspends him with his Punjab lasso, choking him slowly, the Phantom tells Christine that if she marries him and stays with him he will let Raoul live. However, should she choose Raoul he will kill him with the lasso. The trio in the lair begin to sing (Raoul to Christine, Christine to the Phantom, the Phantom to Christine and himself), at the end of this Christine kisses the Phantom. He is completely caught off-guard by being shown the affection and love from her that he guiltily releases Raoul and orders the two to escape as the mob closes in.Raoul and Christine leave as the Phantom sings to the tune of his music box, Christine returns to hand him the wedding ring he gave to her and returns to Raoul. The two sail from the lair singing to each other and the Phantom sings the final line of the musical ('You alone...').After this he moves to his throne and throws his Opera cape over himself. The mob reach the lair and Meg Giry is the first to enter, she discovers the throne and cape and upon pulling the cape away the Phantom is nowhere to be seen - only his mask remains.Meg picks up the mask and eyes it over, cradling it somewhat as the musical ends.

How does Andrew Lloyd's version of the Phantom of the Opera end?

The Phantom ends up trying to make Christine commit to a marriage with him, by threatning to kill Raoul if she won't do so just like in the novel - but in the ALW stage version, The Phantom has trapped Raoul in a hangman's noose and in the film version he ties Raoul to the gate of his lair and puts a lassoo around his neck in means to stranggle Raoul if Christine refuses to marry him (the Phantom.) There's a few moments of huge drama between the trio and eventually Christine chooses the Phantom. She puts on the engagement ring and gives the Phantom two kisses on the lips. Her love, sacrifice and commitment has the Phantom's human side win and he learns the true meaning of love; and thus because he loves Christine, he lets Raoul and Christine go. The Phantom tells Christine the three words ('I love you'), she gives him back the engagement ring and she and Raoul leave. In the stage version, the Phantom weeps into her wedding veil, chanting her name or alternatively 'I love you' and then either dies or disappears. In the film version it's the same except the wedding veil moment has been changed into him breaking a few mirrors in anguish.

Why Christine want to meet Raoul at the beginning of the phantom opera?

Raoul was Christine's childhood friend. She had not seen him since she was in grade school and she wanted to catch up old times.

Why does Christine remove the phantoms mask for the second time?

The real reason by Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera, Christine removes the Phantom's Mask the second time, is show his real face that he is hiding behind and to scare the audiences. She loves him for who he is and not the mask he wears. That's totally up to the person watching the show... Some say it was the only way to get the Phantom's attention to the guys with the guns so he wouldn't get shot, others say it was because it was the only way for Christine to not get carried away by the passion and go with the Phantom, and others say that she was letting the police know it was him so they could shoot him. The reason is up to you. It depends on how you think of Christine and the relationship between her and the Phantom. It can be whatever you think.

When did Christine Daae die in Phantom of the Opera 2004?

10 years after the fire (in the end of Phantom of the Opera), Christine goes to New York to sing for the phantom. Meg is hurt by the betrayal that she feels for phantom. Intending to shoot herself, shoots Christine instead. This is in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Love Never Dies". It is amazing, I recommend listening to the soundtrack or purchasing the DVD. It will be available May 29th.It never states in any version of Phantom of the Opera that I've seen/read how or WHEN she dies. Assuming you were asking about the 2004 version of Phantom of the Opera, Christine most likely died of old age.
