I was just doing research on this topic last week and found out that no visa is required if your stay is less than 90 days. Most of the sites I found were travel sites and they all had this posted: Visa required by all except the following for stays of up to 90 days:

(a) nationals of countries referred to in the chart above (USA, Australia, Canada, Britian, Japan, other EU countries.)

(b) nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Israel, Korea (Rep), Liechtenstein, Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Switzerland, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela.

Here are some of the sites with the info: WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION - http://www.searo.who.int/en/Section1243/Section1374/Section1426_6418.htm EXPEDIA - http://www.expedia.co.uk/daily/wg/P42275.asp TRAVEL GUIDES - http://travelguides.lastminute.ie/sisp/index.htm?fx=location&loc_id=131061&sub_section=Passport/Visa

Do you need a passport when traveling from Canada to Mexico?

Do you need a passport? As a Canadian, I can say for certain that a Canadian is required to have a valid passport to enter Mexico, as a visitor, and if they intend to do business in Mexico, they need a visa, issued by a Mexican Embassy or Consulate. More input from Wiki s Contributors:NO, at this time a passport is not required for travel to Mexico and/or Canada, but it is highly recommended. If traveling without a passport, you will need your original birth certificate and a state issued photo IDYou do not need one at the present time (5-05), but there is a new law going into effect that you will need a passport to Mexico and Canada in the near future. No visas are needed for these countries. You do not need a passport when travelling from Canada to Mexico, if you are a US Cicizen. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States. In order to facilitate the implementation of this requirement, the Administration is proposing to complete it in phases following a proposed timeline, which will be published in the Federal Register in the near future. You do not require a passport to enter Mexico at this present time (12-08) and it is very hard to get a straight answer, if in doubt contact the airline or the consulate.

List of visa free countries with Mexico passport?

Sadly, starting Thursday, Canada is no longer a visa-free country for Mexico. It was, but a new law to restrict refugee status claims from the Czech Republic and Mexico means ALL Czech and Mexican nationals will need a visa to enter.

Can Americans immigrate to Mexico?

Mexican passports can only be acquired legally by people who are Mexican citizens. If the person who left the US to go to Mexico was already a Mexican citizen, he need only go to the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores website (in the Related Links below) to have the necessary meeting to acquire his passport. If the person who left the US to go to Mexico was not a Mexican citizen, he would have to naturalize as a Mexican prior to receiving his passport (which would then proceed to the SRE meeting mentioned above. Naturalization usually takes a bit of time. To read more about the Naturalization process, please read the Wikipedia article in the Related Links.

Do you need a passport if you are moving to Mexico?

Mexican citizens moving to Mexico do not need a passport. Some evidence of citizenship will be helpful, however. Foreign citizens (such as those from the U.S.) need to secure permission from the Instituto Nacional de Migración, which will ask you to prove your identity and your nationality before issuing you an FM3 or FM2. The passport does both; alternatively, INM might accept your driver's license (identity) and your birth certificate (nationality) if dulytranslated into Spanish. Details at the related link or at the Mexican consulate or embassy nearest you.
