the show of course is still going. they are currently working on their 5th season.

I would have to say no, Winx Club is not an anime. Some have tried to group it into the magical girl genre of anime, but the fact still remains that it is not a true anime. Animes originate in Japan, while Winx Club originates in Italy. Also the art work in Winx Club does not remind one of an anime. To me you would have an easier time claiming Teen Titans was an anime then Winx CLub, but even then I would still have to say no.

Yes. In the Winx Club movies and in the concert it is animated. But in the show, it is cartoon, not animated.

Someone else here! The movie(s!) and in the OFFICIAL concert it is 3D animated. And that's not really anime. In the show, it can possibly be an anime.

Another person here: Anime and animation, for everyone who thinks it's the same, are different. Anime does not stand for animation. Anime is manga, but in TV show/movie/game form. If it moves it Anime if it's in a book or whatever it's Manga.
Anime is NOT short for animation.

SOME ONE ELSE ; Anime is a manga (book) in a tv show. Also Manga/Anime are created or originated in Japan. So if it wasn't originated in Japan it isn't an anime or Manga. && Winx Club is a cartoon.

sorry, but no. winx club is a childrens tv show for kids about 5-9 years of age. the characters are amazing, but they are just drawings made by kids animation show people.
