What are the advantages of wien bridge oscillator?

RC phase shift oscillator is used to generate frequency in audio range and it is a fixed audio frequency oscillator where as wien bridge oscillator is a variable audio frequency oscillator for high frequency oscillations it is better to design wide band amplifier with LC network

What is short circuit?

Short circuit is the case when electricity, instead of travel through the design circuit path, jump across an unintended low resistance path and bypass the design circuit.A short circuit is a path for an electric current to travel through where there is very little resistance. This path is often, but not always, through a wire connected directly to a ground, and is often, but not always, unintentional.

How do you design a multilevel inverter?

the design of multilevel inverter can be done by using is the mosfets ....multilevel inverter is the inverter which cna reduce the harmonics by increasing the voltage levels ANSWER: The design of multilevel converter is the same as a single converter. The feedback control however comes from the most hi current output capacity circuit.

How does the phase-shift oscillator get its name?

The phase-shift oscillator gets its name from the phase-shift network used in its design, which introduces a phase shift in the feedback path of the circuit. This phase shift is necessary for maintaining oscillations in the circuit.

Where a colpitts oscillator is used?

the Colpitts oscillator , named after the inventor of the circuit , is characterised by the use of Two Capacitors in series which are then connected in parallel across the inductor of the resonant circuit for obtaining the required frequency. The junction of the two capacitors is used for the positive feedback used for generating the oscillations. This circuit is used for High frequency oscillators , mainly due to ease of obtaining required ratio of the two capacitor values as per the circuit design. Also the two capacitors in series reduces their total equivalent value , which is not a problem as in HF circuits as the values and size is comparatively low. For information , a corresponding Low frequency circuit is called a Hartley oscillator , also named after its inventor. This uses a tapped inductor & one capacitor for the resonant circuit, since it is more easier to fabricate large value tapped inductors , than to use two bulky ( since the value of capacitors in series is reduced ) capacitors necessary for the equivalent Colpitts oscillator.

How to design a phase shifter circuit using operational amplifier to have a desired phase shift?

There are many phase shift oscillator circuits on the internet. Google search, `phase+shift+oscillator+schematics` and `phase+shift+oscillator+diagrams`. Generally, if you want to change the phase shift characteristics, you'll need to substitute some fixed resistors with variable resistors and depending where they're placed, you can either change the operating frequency or the waveform characteristics.

What is difference between series fed and shunt fed hartley oscillator?

The DC voltage for the amplifier (transistor or FET) runs for a series-fed oscillator through the inductance of the LC circuit. A shunt-fed oscillator uses a radio-frequency choke or a resistor to deliver DC voltage to the amplifier. For an oscillator the difference between serial-fed and shunt-fed is small. The choke resonance frequency can interact with the LC circuit resonance frequency. This problem happens only with shunt-fed. Furthermore series-fed needs less components. Therefore it is prefered for (low power) oscillators. The output circuit of an amp can be series-fed or shunt-fed, too. The additional DC current through the coil will drive a iron or ferrite core earlier into saturation. This is an disadvantage of serial-fed. At a high-voltage tube RF amp with say 2000V DC voltage, in the shunt-fed amp only the choke and the DC blocking capacity have to withstand the high voltage. This is an advantage of the shunt-fed solution.

Application of wein bridge oscillator?

A Wein bridge oscillator is commonly used in electronic circuit design to generate low frequency sine waves. It is often utilized in audio applications, such as in tone generators and audio oscillators, as well as in low frequency signal processing circuits. Additionally, it can be employed in frequency synthesizers and function generators.

What is the difference between local oscillator and oscillator?

Oscillator is a generic word for any circuit that produces an alternative signal. The shape of the signal, its stability and its output impedance are not considered in this case. "Local oscillator" is one specific type of oscillator used in radio receiver for the purpose of frequency conversion. the input Radio Frequency( RF ) signal is "mixed" with the local oscillator signal and the subtraction of two frequencies is obtained at the output. "Mixing" in this context means: "multiplication"\ In some other context in electronics (specially audio) mixing means "adding" the mathematical operation for local oscillator is F out=Fin - F loc.osc. The output of the mixing operation can also be Fin+F loc.Osc. But this higher frequency is usually filtered out. The local oscillator needs to be a pure sine wave with a very good frequency stability and usually very stable output voltage. Recently very good "synthesizers" are introduced in the market that permit generation "programmable local oscillation"
