Some epoxy encapsulation materials can be made to crumble into dust with the following method:
slowly heat the material in an oven or with a heat gun until it emits an odor. You do not need to burn it but only cause it to out-gas and decompose slowly. If a vacuum oven is used the process will require less time. After several minutes to several hours (depending on the size), the decomposed resin can be removed by gentle scraping, brushing or even with a blast of compressed air. Bear in mind that the applied heat may very possibly damage the internal circuitry. A vacuum oven is best because not as much heat is required.
If you have electronics design abilities and access to an x-ray system equipped with a microfocus x-ray tube, you can look inside and copy the internal circuit. I have done this and it actually allows you to draw a schematic diagram of the encapsulated unit. That lets you gain a good understanding of the original so you can make a functional copy. If however, there is a lot of complexity, you might save a lot of money to purchase a new unit. After all, they encapsulated it to protect intellectual property because they want to be paid for their work.
Probably, the engine and or the transmission will not operate. If the vehicle has a body computer, it too will not work as it receives signals from the powertrain module usually.
Most cars have a switch to disable the cruise control. To permanently disable the cruise, remove the fuse for the circuit.
Go to the add/remove programs applet in the control panel and remove it from there.
You will need to remove the dashboard panel in order to replace the electronic throttle control light. With the dashboard panel removed the light can be access to be replaced.
This is not too difficult. I have three 1990 Reattas so have done this a couple of times. Look in the Owners Manual to get the correct bulb, the dealer may or may not have it but auto supply places such as Auto Zone do, it cost about $10, it is not just a bulb, it is a small module with the bulb in it. Repalcing this bulb is almost like changing the oil. You'll have to crawl under the front bumper and remove 2 screws from the 3-inch splash guard so you can get the splash guard out of the way, you do not have to remove the entire splash guard. Then just reach up to the turn-signal bulb module and pull it out, it may take a little wiggling to get it out if it has been there for a number of years. Then put in the new module. Once you buy the replacement module and look at it, it becomes obvious what to do and which of the many lights is the turn-signal. The smaller the fingers, the easier it is to do as it is a tight fit. If you have a big hand with larger fingers, it may be more difficult. It took me 30+ minutes the first time I did it as I had to figure out what to do, but the last time ( 6 months ago) it took about 10 minutes.
Remove the wiring harness from your 1995 Chevy Blazer ignition control module. Remove the ignition control module retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new ignition control module.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the ignition coils. Remove the ignition control module that was under the coils, and replace it.
Control Module Control Module is located on the firewall just inboard of the master cylinder. Removal & Installation 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the instrument cluster panel. 3. Remove the front control module mounting bracket screw. 4. Remove the rear control module mounting bracket screw. 5. Lift the control module and mounting bracket from the instrument panel and detach the control module electrical connectors. 6. The installation is the reverse of the removal.
To remove the ignition control module from a 1990 Hyundai Excel, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Locate the ignition control module, which is typically mounted on the firewall or near the distributor. Unplug the wiring harness connected to the module and remove the mounting screws. Finally, carefully lift the module off its mounting brackets.
how do you remove the ignition control module on a 1988 ford f-250 pickup?
The control module is located under the air cleaner box. Carefully remove the the upper air cleaner enclosure, MAF sensor and rubber duct. Remove air cleaner and lift compartment lid. Computer control module is there. Hope this helps?
remove the body control module
The ignition module is integral to the distributor and is not serviced as as separate part.
