Well first of all if you have fast uploading speed it actually increases your download but here's what to do if you have a slow internet connection go to utorrent preferences click on bandwith tab on the left and then on the bottom where it says "Number of upload slots per torrent" replace whatever number is in there with 0.

You can download and use WinRar for free, and then you right-click on your folder, click 'add to (foldername).rar' and it will create a .rar folder for you which can then be passworded.
