Dutch Warmbloods are particularly trendy at the moment and rightly so. The Dutch have spent a fortune on their breeding programmes and this has resulted in the more modern warmblood which is good looking, talented a super temperament and can generally turn its hoof to most disciplines. Of course there are many which will be specifically bred for a certain job e.g. dressage, show jumping, etc. Dutch horses are generally more suited to competition work than just being a happy hacker but their are exceptions. Most warmblood types are used in high levels of showjumping, including the Olympics ect. It really depends on the horse, on the attitude ans ability. If you own, buy a horse who enjoys jumping it can go all the way from 1m to 1.50's. Most warmbloods have the features and ability to jump great hight's. But, if you don't put in the effort to train the horse to this level, you are not going to get it back. To jump these heights you must make sure that your horse is healthy and has ability to jump big height's and don't push him/her to fast as you will cause injury. take your time and enjoy yourself!
