Is Saw a horror movie

Ok, It isn't "scary" persay, but as any other Saw movie, it is extremely gory. I really think you should inform yourself about it, and inform whoever you may be going with. Personally I loved it. I went with my 12 year old friend and it was awesome!

Also, if you type the name in on Google it should have something by IMDb about it, and it will tell you about the content advisory. It is a great movie, and if you love Saw I would recommend seeing it. Just do not take anyone who pukes at the sight of blood, because they are gonna hate every second of the hour and thirty minutes.

Saw (part I, at least) is ATROCIOUS. People love serial killers, and movies about them always intrigue people. I heard "Saw" is the only good one in the series.

Well, I watched Saw, and I was RIDICULOUSLY EMBARASSED for all the people saying how good it was. It's terrible! There are so many plot holes, it could have been written by a 5th grader. For instance, why would he give Cary Elwes TWO cigarettes? reason: because it was a convenient way to wrap up that part of the plot. This is what is known as "lazy writing".

The movie is AWFUL, and if the rest of the movies are supposedly "worse", then I'm quite afraid to see how bad they are.

Yes, very. I was watching it on TV and it showed drilling into the brain, the brain itself, blood, people being hurt badly, sewing shut of the eyes and mouth, tearing of body parts, face splitting open, torture devices, burning of flesh.
