Vichy France was the small puppet state that Germany set up to get France to think they were free. However, this plan back fired as the people of Vichy France rebelled against Germany in France and Africa. After D-Day all forces joined up with US and British Armies to defeat Hitler. Until D-Day though they did not have a big impact in France and barely managed to keep Africa From Germany and Italy until US and British Forces Arrived.
Luxembourg and Belgium are both bordered by France and Germany

You seem to have things mixed up a bit. Germany seized Alsace Lorraine from France in 1871 (Franco-Prussian war) and after that, obviously, France wanted it back. Not to mention that France also wanted to expand and therefor could benefit from the strategical piece of land. Hope this helps. ;)
part of European conquest and rub the noses of the french for the surrender of Germany after WW1. signing being done in France. Germany just getting back to the WW1 victors
Coal is valuable and it was especially so back then. And it was a hit to Germany that everyone wanted.
The area of dispute between France and Germany which France lost in the Franco-Prussian War and wanted to get back is called Alsace-Lorraine, regained by France in WWI. It is the birthplace of Joan of Arc. They also wanted to control more overseas colonies, and the parts of France that Germany occupied in the early weeks of the "Battle of France."
cuz Germany attacked them first

This was because Alsace and Lorraine were very rich in resources. It was a agricultural land and was a major part of food production and so France was in a major food crisis when Germany took it. They wanted revenge on Germany and so the world war 1 broke out and the treaty of Versailles made sure France got back its territories.
France entered WWII because of a defensive pact woth Poland. Because Germany declared War on Poland, France declared war on Germany. If Germany had declared war on France first, then Poland would have declared war on germany. -Feewet
The Nazis wanted the Rhineland back. It belonged to Germany, not France. They got it back when Britain and France tried to appease the Nazis.
Germany used the Schlieffen plan to go through Belgium to get to France, overpower them in a matter of weeks and go back and defend Germany's borders from Russia.
