Well if you really think about it... the children in Africa are malnutritioned. They get as much as what here in U.S. is a cheeseburger. A DAY. They can usually get grain, rice, potatoes. But that is pretty much it, because they don't have the newer ways of farming. And so their agriculture, is quite low. Even some countries have to get help to support their countries from out of the country. For example: Europe.
Please note that this answer is a generalization. There are 54 countries in Africa, contrary to popular belief some actually have a high standard of living and the people are not all impoverished and starving masses are are depicted in the media.
