It would probably be better to tell your parents and let them talk to the counselor. Some counselors might not be supportive of homeschooling, so you might get a negative reaction that parents may be better able to deal with. That's not implying that anything is wrong with you, just that parents are adults and whether we like it or not, the counselor might respond to the parents better.
