Around 80-90 million people. In the late 1990's into 2000's Canada's population grew at about 400-500 thousand people per year disproving international estimates which overstated the nation's population problem; that's faster than it grew decades earlier when the median age was a lot lower. Because of its aging population, by 2040 Immigration will be the primary source of population growth, and there will be lots of that with countries in Africa and Asia (specifically India and Indonesia) growing exponentially coupled with the attractiveness of Canada's large land base (lots of resources creating lots of jobs and opportunities). Check back at estimates from 1995 for Canada's population by 2010, like in the BRIC report made by Goldman Sachs, Canada's performance was severely understated.

Canada has one of the largest East Indian and Chinese diaspora populations meaning it's been an attractive destination for countries with large and growing populations. Its ability to attract young immigrants is one of the reasons is estimated that its population will grow by at least 10-20 million by 2050 when other European countries with high median ages (Spain, France, UK) are expected to have fewer people than they did a decade ago.
