It can vary greatly depending on what part of each province you are in. I.e. northern, southern, or central. In southern Ontario for instance, the climate is similar to northern California where parts of northern Ontario is inhabited for polar bears. The other provinces share characteristics in that they all exemplify the typical four seasons with the exception of parts of BC which has more of a rainy season than a typical "Winter" most of us know. The Northwest & Yukon Territories as well Nunavit would have dramatically harsher winters than that of the provinces as they are closer to the polar region of Canada.
